Crash Protection

ADP Avata 2 Roll Cage — $54.99 (Physical) / $17.99 (STL)

A geodesic hexagonal lattice printed in PA6-GF (glass-filled nylon 6) — the same material class used in automotive engine covers. It absorbs impact, flexes, and returns to shape. TPU snap-on clips mount it in seconds with no tools and no modifications to the drone.

STARTRC Propeller Guard — $8–15

Plastic ring that clips around the propellers. Protects props from bumps against walls and doorframes. Does NOT protect the drone body, camera, or gimbal. Useful for indoor flying, but don’t confuse this with crash protection.

BRDRC Gimbal Protector — $12–18

Aluminum bar that shields the front camera housing. Only covers one impact zone. Better than nothing for the gimbal specifically.

Batteries

DJI Avata 2 Intelligent Flight Battery — $89–109

Getting harder to find at retail. Each battery gives 20–23 minutes of flight time. Minimum 3 batteries for a full session.

Post-ban tip: Battery availability will decrease over time. Stock up while you can.

Rule of thumb: Shutter speed at 2× your frame rate (1/60 for 30fps, 1/120 for 60fps), then use ND filters to bring exposure to correct levels.
