Printer Requirements
Minimum:
- Enclosed 3D printer (Bambu Lab X1C, P1S, or P2S recommended)
- Hardened steel nozzle (0.4mm) — mandatory for PA6-GF, glass fiber destroys brass
- PEI build plate
- Chamber temperature capability (50°C+)
Materials needed:
- PA6-GF filament (~120g per cage) — Polymaker, Bambu Lab, or similar
- TPU 95A filament (for mounting clips) — any brand
Print time: ~5 hours for the cage body + 30 min for clips
Key Settings (Included in Profile)
- Nozzle: 280°C
- Bed: 85°C on PEI plate
- Chamber: Preheat to 50-60°C
- Cooling: Minimal (15-20%)
- Brim: Yes, 8mm
Why PA6-GF?
